Panini 1982 World Cup Spain Stickers Checklist
The Panini FIFA World Cup España 1982 sticker collection looks back at the tournament that Italy won in Madrid, with a 427-sticker checklist. The album opens with the 1982 World Cup trophy, the FIFA Weltpokal, the mascot Naranjito and the Spain 82 logo. Poster and stadium stickers then cover the host cities: Madrid, Barcelona, Sevilla, Vigo, La Coruña, Gijón, Oviedo, Alicante, Elche, Bilbao, Valladolid, Valencia, Zaragoza and Málaga. Each of the 24 finalists has its own section with an emblem, a team photo and the squad. Italy, Poland, Peru, West Germany, Austria, Chile, Argentina, Hungary, Belgium, England, Czechoslovakia, France, Spain, Yugoslavia, Northern Ireland, Honduras, Brazil, the USSR and Scotland have 18 stickers each. Cameroon, Algeria, El Salvador, Kuwait and New Zealand have shared player stickers.
The checklist is a showcase of 1980s football. It features Paolo Rossi, Dino Zoff and Marco Tardelli of Italy, and Diego Maradona and Mario Kempes of Argentina. Brazil’s Zico, Sócrates and Falcão, France’s Michel Platini and Alain Giresse, West Germany’s Karl-Heinz Rummenigge and Pierre Littbarski, and England’s Bryan Robson and Kevin Keegan also appear. Zbigniew Boniek of Poland, Kenny Dalglish of Scotland, Jan Ceulemans of Belgium and Roger Milla of Cameroon complete the line-up. Use the full checklist to track your collection, find the stickers you still need and plan your swaps with other collectors.
