Panini 1978 World Cup Argentina Stickers Checklist
The Panini FIFA World Cup Argentina 1978 sticker collection captures the tournament that gave Argentina its first world title, with a 400-sticker checklist. The album opens with the Rimet Cup and a History section that revisits every World Cup from Uruguay 1930 to West Germany 1974, each with a poster, a star player and the champions. It then covers the host cities and stadiums, including River Plate in Buenos Aires, Rosario, Córdoba, Mendoza and Mar del Plata. The 16 finalists each get 18 stickers, with a federation badge, a team photo and the full squad: Argentina, Hungary, France, Italy, Poland, West Germany, Tunisia, Mexico, Austria, Spain, Sweden, Brazil, the Netherlands, Iran, Peru and Scotland.
The checklist features the stars of the late 1970s. These include Mario Kempes, Daniel Passarella and Osvaldo Ardiles of Argentina, and Michel Platini of France, Paolo Rossi and Dino Zoff of Italy and Zico of Brazil. Zbigniew Boniek, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, Hans Krankl, Teófilo Cubillas, Kenny Dalglish and Johan Neeskens also appear. A closing group of five-sticker sections covers 14 more nations, with players such as Kevin Keegan, Allan Simonsen, Oleg Blokhin and John Toshack. Use the full checklist to track your collection, find the stickers you still need and plan your swaps with other collectors.
