You’ve ripped a few packs of the new Match Attax UEFA Club Competitions 2026/27 collection and now you’re wondering… How much would it actually cost to complete the whole thing? It’s the question every collector asks, and the honest answer is: it depends on how you go about it.
Well here at Cardzillo, we’ve crunched the numbers across every pack format, worked out the maths on duplicates, and factored in the new 2026/27 rarity system so you know exactly what you’re getting into before you spend a penny more.
The 2026/27 UEFA Club Competitions set is one of the largest Match Attax collections ever produced. The full checklist covers base cards for every club across the UEFA Champions League, Europa League and Conference League, plus a substantial insert programme including:
For the exact full card count, check the Cardzillo Match Attax 2026/27 checklist it lists every card and rarity in the set so you can see precisely what you’re chasing.
Let’s start with the worst case: buying packs until you have every card, with no swapping, no buying singles, and pure luck on your side.
Each pack guarantees:
That’s actually a strong guaranteed hit rate per pack. But the problem, as any collector knows, is duplicates. The more of the set you complete, the harder it gets to find new cards — and the more packs you need to open just to find one fresh card.
The maths on duplicates follows the classic coupon collector’s problem. Early on, almost every pack gives you new cards. By the time you’re 80% complete, the majority of what you pull is already in your binder. By 90% complete, it’s genuinely painful.
| Completion Target | Estimated Packs Needed | Estimated Cost |
|---|---|---|
| 50% of base set | ~30–40 packs | £60–80 |
| 75% of base set | ~80–100 packs | £160–200 |
| 90% of base set | ~180–220 packs | £360–440 |
| 100% base set (no swapping) | ~350–500 packs | £700–1,000 |
These are estimates based on set size and standard duplicate probability. Your actual experience will vary — some collectors get lucky runs, others hit walls early. But the general shape is right: the last 10% of a set costs as much as the first 50% because of how duplicates pile up.
Nobody serious completes a Match Attax set by buying packs alone. The three-step approach that minimises cost is:
Ripping packs is the fun part and it gets you most of the way there efficiently. Stop pushing past 75% completion from packs alone, the duplicate rate beyond that point makes it poor value.
Best pack format for value: The Mega Tin (£14.99) gives you 48 cards plus 4 exclusive Limited Edition cards, roughly £0.31 per card, the best rate available. The Eco Pack (£5.99) for 24 cards is also solid value if you’re buying multiple formats.
This is where our Trade Matcher comes in. Once you’ve logged your collection and marked your duplicates, you can find other collectors who have what you need and want what you have. Swapping is essentially free cards — you’re trading duplicates (which would otherwise sit in a pile) for cards that actually complete your set.

The UK Match Attax community is active, particularly on Facebook groups and Discord servers, and swapping is genuinely the most effective way to close the gap from 75% to 95% but be sure to check Facebook groups in your country as well if you don’t live in the UK.
For the final few cards you can’t swap for, buying singles on eBay or from card dealers is far cheaper than buying packs and hoping. A base card you’re missing typically sells for 10–30p on eBay. Even a Super Rare parallel might cost £1–2 as a single, far better value than opening packs at those odds.
Realistic total cost using this approach:
| Method | Estimated Cost to Complete |
|---|---|
| Packs only, no strategy | £700–1,000+ |
| Packs to 75% + active swapping | £150–250 |
| Packs to 75% + swapping + singles for remainder | £120–200 |
The difference is enormous. Swapping and buying singles for your last 25–30 cards can save you hundreds of pounds compared to going pack-only.
If your goal is a truly complete set including the Hyper Rare and Mystical Full-Art cards, the numbers get very different very quickly.
| Card Type | Pack Odds | Expected Pack Cost to Pull |
|---|---|---|
| All-Time 100 Club | 1 in 12 | £24 |
| Infinity | 1 in 24 | £48 |
| WHOOSH! | 1 in 540 | ~£1,080 |
| Enigma | 1 in 2,160 | ~£4,320 |
| Mystical Full-Art | 1 in 4,320 | ~£8,640 |
A “complete” set including every WHOOSH!, Enigma and Mystical variant from packs alone would cost tens of thousands of pounds. In practice, nobody completes the full set this way — collectors who want the chase cards either:
For most collectors, the realistic goal is completing the base set plus the guaranteed inserts (Super Rares, All-Time 100 Club, Infinity, Anniversary LEs) and then selectively chasing whichever Hyper Rares appeal to them. That keeps the cost manageable while still giving you something genuinely exciting to hunt.
Launching in October 2026, the Countdown Calendar (£26.99) contains:
At £26.99 for 84 cards that’s £0.32 per card, comparable to the Mega Tin for value, but the real appeal is the 10 exclusive Snowglobe cards and the guaranteed higher-rarity pull. If you’re a completionist who wants every card in the set, the Countdown Calendar is essential. If you’re just building the base set, it’s a nice bonus rather than a necessity. So this one really depends on if you’re going the whole hog.
